Content Submission Policy

Content Submission Policy

Last updated: June 8, 2026

This Content Submission Policy ("Policy") governs all content you submit to Broker Credibility, including reviews, experiences, complaints, praise, ratings, narratives, documents, screenshots, audio, video, and any other supporting materials (collectively, "Submissions"). This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service. If there is a conflict between this Policy and the Terms of Service with respect to Submissions, the more protective provision applies.

By creating an account, submitting content, or otherwise using Broker Credibility, you agree to this Policy in full.

1. Purpose & Scope

Broker Credibility exists to create an accurate, verifiable, peer-driven record of broker conduct in the trucking and logistics industry. This Policy sets the standards every Submission must meet, the protections we apply, and the responsibilities you accept as a contributor.

2. Who May Submit

Submissions are limited to verified industry professionals — including carriers, owner-operators, dispatchers, shippers, factors, and other parties with direct, first-hand business interactions with the broker being discussed. You may not submit on behalf of a third party without their written authorization and documentary proof of their direct experience.

3. Mandatory User Certification

Every Submission requires you to affirmatively check a box containing the following certification. Submitting without checking this box is not permitted, and circumventing this requirement is grounds for immediate account termination.

I certify, under penalty of account termination, civil liability, and referral to applicable authorities, that:

  1. The Submission reflects my own actual, first-hand experience, knowledge, records, or verifiable business interactions.
  2. Every material factual statement is true to the best of my knowledge and belief, and I am not knowingly submitting false, fabricated, misleading, or deceptive information.
  3. I have supporting documentation for the material factual assertions in this Submission, and I will provide it to Broker Credibility upon request.
  4. I have redacted personal information as required by Section 8 of this Policy.
  5. I am not submitting this content to harass, retaliate against, defame, or unfairly damage the broker, and I have no undisclosed competitive or personal conflict of interest.
  6. I have read, understand, and agree to be bound by this Content Submission Policy and the Broker Credibility Terms of Service.

4. Truthfulness & Good-Faith Standard

You must submit only what you reasonably believe to be true based on your direct experience or documented records. Opinions are permitted only when clearly framed as opinion ("In my view…", "It felt like…"). You may not submit content that you know — or that a reasonable person in your position should know — to be false.

5. Detailed Evidence Standards

Material factual assertions must be supportable by contemporaneous business records. Acceptable evidence includes, without limitation:

  • Rate confirmations and broker-carrier agreements
  • Signed bills of lading (BOLs) and proof-of-delivery documents
  • Emails, text messages, and load-board messages with full headers and timestamps
  • Payment records, ACH/wire confirmations, factoring statements, and aging reports
  • Load board screenshots showing the broker's posting and contact information
  • Call logs, voicemails, and recorded calls (only where lawful in all applicable jurisdictions)
  • Dispatch notes, driver logs, and trip sheets created in the ordinary course of business

Evidence should be:

  • Contemporaneous — created at or near the time of the events, not reconstructed after the fact.
  • Complete — full pages, full message threads, and full documents, not isolated fragments.
  • Authentic — original files in their original formats whenever possible, with metadata intact.
  • Recent — events older than five (5) years may be rejected unless still actively in dispute or relevant to an ongoing pattern.

Broker Credibility may request supporting documentation at any time — before publication, during moderation, after publication, or during dispute review. Failure to produce reasonable evidence on request may result in the Submission being removed, the account being suspended, or both.

6. Screenshot & Document Upload Requirements

All uploaded screenshots and documents must meet these standards:

  • Accepted formats: PNG, JPG, PDF, and common email/message exports. No executables, no archives that require extraction by our staff.
  • Unaltered originals: Do not edit, retouch, recolor, or annotate the underlying content. Highlighting, circling, or callouts are permitted only if clearly added as overlays and do not obscure the underlying content.
  • Metadata preserved: Do not strip EXIF, message headers, or timestamps. If you must redact metadata for privacy, you must note what was redacted and why.
  • Full context visible: Capture the full screen, full message thread, or full document page. Do not crop in a way that removes context, changes meaning, or hides the identity of the speaker.
  • Timestamps visible: Every screenshot of communications should show the date and time the messages were sent or received.
  • File size: Individual uploads should not exceed 25 MB. Larger evidence may be requested separately.

Submissions that rely on screenshots whose authenticity cannot be reasonably verified may be rejected.

7. Rules for Quoting Broker Communications

When you quote a broker's communications, you must:

  • Use verbatim quotation — do not paraphrase and present the paraphrase as a quote.
  • Provide enough surrounding context that the quote is not misleading.
  • Identify the medium (email, text, call, load-board message) and the approximate date.
  • Avoid selective editing that materially changes the meaning of what was said.
  • Use ellipses ("…") to indicate any omitted text within a quoted passage, and brackets ("[ ]") for any clarifying insertions.

Misrepresenting a paraphrase as a direct quote is a material violation of this Policy.

8. Personal Information Redaction Requirements

Before submission, you must redact the following from any screenshot, document, or narrative:

  • Social Security numbers, dates of birth, and government ID numbers
  • Personal (non-business) cell phone numbers of anyone who is not a principal of the broker
  • Driver names, CDL numbers, medical information, and any minor's information
  • Bank account numbers, routing numbers, credit card numbers, and full ACH details
  • Home addresses of non-principals
  • Photographs of identifiable individuals other than the broker's principals acting in a business capacity
  • Any information protected by HIPAA, GLBA, FCRA, or similar laws

Business contact information for the broker entity itself (company name, MC/DOT number, business phone, business email, principal officers acting in their business capacity) is not subject to redaction.

Broker Credibility may apply additional redactions in its discretion and is not obligated to publish redacted material at all.

9. Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that is, or that we reasonably believe to be:

  • Unlawful, threatening, harassing, stalking, or discriminatory
  • Knowingly false, fabricated, fraudulent, or intentionally deceptive
  • Defamatory, libelous, or designed to inflict reputational harm beyond the truthful reporting of business conduct
  • Doxxing or designed to enable real-world harm to any individual
  • Infringing on intellectual property, trade secrets, or confidentiality obligations the submitter owes a third party
  • Solicitation, spam, malware, or advertising of competitor services
  • Content submitted in coordinated retaliation, brigading, or competitive sabotage
  • Content concerning matters wholly unrelated to the broker's business conduct (including but not limited to a broker's race, religion, national origin, sexuality, immigration status, mental health, or family members)

10. Defamation-Risk Screening Standards

To reduce defamation exposure for you and for Broker Credibility, every Submission is screened against the following standards:

  • Fact vs. opinion: Statements of fact must be supportable. Opinions must be plainly framed as opinion.
  • No provably false statements of fact. If a statement can be objectively disproven, it must not be submitted unless you can document it.
  • No accusations of crimes (fraud, theft, embezzlement, etc.) without specific, documented basis. General descriptions of conduct ("the broker did not pay within agreed terms," "the broker double-brokered without my consent") are acceptable when supported by evidence.
  • No statements about a broker's personal characteristics — mental health, sexuality, immigration status, family, religion — that are unrelated to the business conduct at issue.
  • Identify the right party. Do not attribute conduct to a broker without a documented basis for attributing it to that specific broker entity.

Submissions that fail defamation screening may be edited, returned to you for revision, or rejected outright.

11. AI Moderation Standards

Broker Credibility uses automated and AI-assisted systems to help moderate Submissions. These systems may screen for, among other things:

  • Prohibited content and policy violations
  • Defamation risk and unsupported factual claims
  • Personally identifiable information that should be redacted
  • Duplicate, brigaded, or coordinated Submissions
  • Sentiment, tone, and language standards
  • Likely authenticity of attached evidence

AI moderation decisions are advisory, not final adjudications. Edge cases, appeals, and high-impact decisions receive human review. You consent to AI-assisted screening of any Submission as a condition of submitting.

12. Editorial Review

All Submissions are subject to moderation. Broker Credibility may, in its sole discretion, edit, summarize, categorize, condense, contextualize, reformat, delay, reject, publish, unpublish, or remove any Submission, in whole or in part, with or without notice. Edits may be made for clarity, length, profanity, readability, formatting, defamation risk, or compliance with this Policy.

13. No Guarantee of Publication; No Obligation to Investigate or Notify

  • Submitting content does not guarantee publication.
  • Review of a Submission does not constitute verification of its contents.
  • Broker Credibility is not required to investigate, contact the broker, solicit a response, or publish any rebuttal.

14. Appeals Process

If your Submission is rejected, edited materially, or removed after publication, you may submit one (1) written appeal within fourteen (14) days of the decision by emailing info@brokercredibility.com with:

  • The Submission title or ID
  • The decision you are appealing
  • The specific basis for your appeal and any additional evidence

Broker Credibility will review the appeal in good faith. The decision on appeal is final and not subject to further internal review. Brokers identified in a Submission may submit a counter-statement, which is subject to the same standards as any other Submission.

15. License to Submitted Content

You grant Broker Credibility a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully paid-up, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, reproduce, modify, adapt, edit, summarize, translate, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, distribute, and otherwise use your Submission in any media now known or later developed, in connection with the operation, promotion, and protection of the Platform.

16. Consent to Publication and Editing

You expressly consent that Broker Credibility may:

  • Publish your Submission, in whole or in part, on the Platform and across Broker Credibility's owned and partner channels (including newsletters, social media, syndication partners, and industry publications);
  • Edit your Submission for clarity, length, profanity, defamation risk, formatting, and compliance with this Policy;
  • Summarize, categorize, tag, and add factual context;
  • Republish edited or summarized versions; and
  • Attribute the Submission to your verified industry role (e.g., "Carrier, MC-123456") without using your personal name unless you have separately consented.

You waive any right to inspect or approve edits prior to publication.

17. Consent to Preserve Records and Cooperate in Disputes

You expressly consent that Broker Credibility may preserve your Submission, your supporting evidence, and your identifying account information indefinitely, including after account termination, for legal, evidentiary, and operational purposes.

If your Submission becomes the subject of a dispute, subpoena, civil claim, criminal investigation, or arbitration — whether involving you, the broker, Broker Credibility, or a third party — you agree to cooperate in good faith and at your own expense, including by:

  • Producing the original underlying evidence
  • Providing a sworn declaration or affidavit attesting to the truth of your Submission and the authenticity of your evidence
  • Sitting for a reasonable interview with Broker Credibility's counsel
  • Providing testimony, including by deposition or trial, if required

Failure to cooperate is a material breach of this Policy and grounds for immediate account termination and removal of your Submissions.

18. Hold Harmless (Specific to Submitted Reports)

You assume sole and exclusive responsibility for every Submission you make. You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Broker Credibility, its parent, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, moderators, contractors, agents, advertisers, and partners (the "Indemnitees") from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, investigations, damages, judgments, settlements, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees and expert fees) arising out of, related to, or in connection with:

  • Any Submission you make or any content you upload, including its truth, accuracy, completeness, or authenticity;
  • Any breach of your certifications under Section 3;
  • Any claim by a broker, third party, or government authority based on your Submission, including claims for defamation, libel, slander, trade libel, tortious interference, business disparagement, intentional infliction of emotional distress, invasion of privacy, false light, misappropriation, copyright or trademark infringement, breach of contract, or breach of confidentiality; and
  • Your failure to comply with this Policy, the Terms of Service, or any applicable law.

This obligation survives termination of your account and removal of your Submissions. The Indemnitees may, at their option and your expense, assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate fully.

19. Content Removal Rights

Broker Credibility may remove, archive, restrict, modify, depublish, or refuse to publish any Submission at any time, for any reason or for no reason, with or without notice, and without liability to you.

20. Legal Compliance; Preservation; Disclosure

Broker Credibility may preserve and disclose Submissions, account information, evidence, and related records when we reasonably believe doing so is necessary to: (a) comply with law, legal process, or governmental request; (b) enforce this Policy or the Terms of Service; (c) respond to claims that content violates third-party rights; (d) protect the rights, property, or safety of Broker Credibility, our users, or the public; or (e) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security, or technical issues.

21. Account Termination for Violations

Violations of this Policy — including knowingly false statements, refusal to produce evidence, repeated defamation-risk failures, evasion of moderation, or failure to cooperate under Section 17 — may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, removal of all your Submissions, forfeiture of any paid placements or features, and referral to applicable authorities. Termination does not relieve you of obligations that by their nature survive, including Sections 15, 17, 18, and 20.

22. Changes to This Policy

Broker Credibility may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by additional in-app notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
